The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), one of the leading online commodity exchanges in India, is planning to launch at least 15 more commodities including daily household commodities like milk powder, eggs and timber for trading by year-end.

The share price of Avenue Supermarts, which operates the hypermarket chain DMart, surged over 4% as the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 773.8 crore for the first quarter of the financial year 2024-25. This marked a 17.5% increase from Rs 658.8 crore in the year-ago period. Avenue Supermarts share price rose by 4.29% to reach an intraday high of Rs 5,166.10 on the BSE.

Microsoft is rewarding a large percentage of its global employees with a $1,500 bonus, considering the challenging times everyone has faced since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The one-time bonus was detailed in an internal memo that has been seen by The Verge, with the reward being announced to employees today.

The bonus will apply to a wide range of Microsoft employees, from full-time staff to contractors. Anyone below corporate vice president level who has worked at the company on or before March 31, 2021, will be eligible.
